The 2027 Daily Planner

It’s no surprise that the Daily Planners are our best selling planners.

Except, I was kind of surprised when I pulled the data from 2025-2026 and saw the actual numbers. All to say, y’all really love the Daily Sprouted Planner.

The Daily Planner didn’t start out like it is now. But let’s first deep dive into what they are NOW, then revisit how they started.

Where to start, where to start.

Let’s start with the quick hits of what makes the Daily Planners great:

  • 2 separate planners for one year (less bulky)

  • You get to choose your cover combinations

  • A weekly overview page

  • Every day has its own page (including Saturday and Sunday)

  • The July-December planners allows for a great midyear touchbase

There are so many more wonderful things about this planner: the intentional prep pages, monthly dashboard, lined monthly calendar, reflection pages, plenty of notes pages, etc.

With all that said, I think it’s good to ask:

Who are the daily planners good for?

A daily planner is fantastic for anyone who wants a fresh start every single day. If you love the ritual of meticulously planning out your day, then this is a great planner for you.

My type A people: this is your planner.

If you’re someone who likes to follow and check things off a list throughout the day. Yep, the daily planner is your girl.

The Daily Planner details

The Sprouted Planners consistently get praised for their quality and sturdy build. This is not a cheaply made planner, and it shows. Here’s what it’s made of:

  • Hard cover (this makes it super sturdy and easy to write on)

  • Spiral wire-bound (strong, quality gold wire)

  • Rounded outer corners (no risk of soft tissue injury 😅)

  • Mylar, colorful tabs running January - June in the first planner, and July - December in the second one.

  • Size (without the coil): 7.06 x 8.81 x 1.06 inches ; weighs 1.15 lbs

  • 3 inside pockets: one attached to the inside cover, and one double-sided page in the very back

Don’t just take my word on the quality of these beauties. Here’s real reviews from real customers. You can see all the latest reviews on product pages.

Daily Planner Cover Combos

The Daily Sprouted Planner didn’t start out divided into two planners for the year. At the start, it started as one THICK planner with a shared weekend (Saturday & Sunday) page. Don’t get me wrong, having your full year in one place is nice but it was just so big and heavy. Not to mention the hand/wrist fatigue of writing in it!

As mentioned above, you get to choose your planner cover combinations. Out of the four (4) 2027 Sprouted Planner covers, you can choose which cover you want for your January - June planner, and which cover you want for your July - December planner.

That’s 16 different combinations you could do!

Sprouted Planner Paper

Planner people live and breathe paper quality. Even the most perfect layout is going to be a deal breaker if it doesn’t have good paper.

AT EASE, SOLDIER. The paper here is GOOD. It’s a solid paper that people like a lot.

Sprouted Planners use 120gsm (80lb) paper, which means it’s thick enough to handle pens really well. It feels high quality and sturdy. Anything much higher than that starts feeling like cardstock. In fact, average cardstock is between 100-120 lbs.

The tooth is the Goldilocks of paper tooth. It’s not slick, and it’s not rough. It’s right in the middle and it handles a pen beautifully. Trust me, bro. I get good reports on the amount of tooth on this paper.

The Daily Sprouted Planner Layout

Just like the Weekly Planner, and Hourly Planner, the Daily Planner is part of the signature planners, and it has all intentional prep pages in the front to help you name what and who matters most to you and help you operate out of those.

From there, every month has an *updated and simplified* monthly dashboard, and the beloved monthly calendar. Yeah, buddy.

I’m sure I’ll write a blog about how best to utilize these spaces but we don’t have time for that on this blog! We gotta get to the daily layout and stat!

After 2 note pages post-monthly calendar (for brain dumps, finance tracking, general notes during the month, memory keeping, you name it), we get to our one-page weekly overview (left side) and the first daily page (Monday, on the right side).

We’re going to hover over the weekly overview.

The Weekly Overview

I’m not saying I’m the first to offer a weekly overview, but I’m not saying I’m the last, either.

Like so many other business owners, I design the things I want and then assume you also want that. This is one of those things.

My Sprouted Planner usage has gone like this: Weekly Planner > Daily Planner > Hourly Planner, and now for 2027…CRISIS! I’ll either be back in the Hourly or use the Daily again.

Anyway, I loved planning my week on Sunday. I knew I was heading into the Daily Planner sooner or later and it made me sad to not have a place to plan my week. Henceforth, the weekly overview page was created.

It’s a compact one page for a quick high-level overview of your week. There’s space for:

  • A weekly focus, overview, intention, theme

  • Schedule

  • 20 to-dos, “broken” into 2 lists with a header line to label is (e.g., personal and work)

  • Dot grid space for notes, a tracker, a sticker, a tisket, a tasket, a blue and yellow basket

When I plan my week, I look at my monthly calendar, and I copy all my appointments/schedule stuff into the schedule area.

In the space above the schedule, I’ll put what I want to focus on or accomplish during the week. It may be a top 3 list, or it may just be something like “smile more.”

Next and last, I list my to-dos: first my personal to-dos on the top list, and then my business to-dos on the bottom list. I label them and I call it good. Bada-bing, bada-boom, weekly overview done.

The Daily Page

It’s there anything more exciting than a fresh page of possibilities for your day ahead?

(unless that gives you anxiety, which I would argue may not be the right planner for you)

Every single day has its own dedicated planner page, including Saturday and Sunday. Here’s the quick shot of spaces…

This dedicated daily page layout is fabulous for people with busier schedules and lots of to-dos they like to get done in a day. Plus, there’s great real estate for taking notes and making lists. I love making lists, and I would frequently make them for: what I need to pack in my backpack that day, things I need to add to my grocery list, people I need to text back, etc.

Please note a couple things that may not be obvious right away:

  1. Your daily schedule does not take up half your day. It takes up about ⅓ of the page, which leaves more room for your to-dos, lists, and notes.

  2. Nothing is labeled(well, except the hours of the schedule area, technically), but that means you get to utilize the spaces in ways that work best for you. Do you write longer to-dos? Just keep writing into that list area. Do you like decorating your page? Put some washi in the top header and bottom header bar. Do what works for you!

  3. The same days are on the same sides every week(Mondays on the right, Tuesdays on the left, Wednesdays on the right, Thursdays on the left, etc.). This just helps your brain keep in the weekly flow.

Reflection Page

I like to keep you on your toes on some things, and apparently this year its reflections.

Last year, the reflections were taken completely out of the planner and put in their own booklets that were sold with your planner purchase. NOT THIS YEAR, SUSAN! (credit to @madelainerascan for her calling out Susan).

For a slew of reasons, I added a condensed version of the reflections back into the planners. One page per month. 6 questions. Two pages year end reflection. This is great for those that love to have the reflections in their planner, and for anyone who likes a small amount of guided reflection. This should take you 10-15 minutes to complete each month.

The reflection booklets are still here! I made them more robust, added quarterly reflections/dashboard, and made them to be bought separately. They can still absolutely be paired with your planner, but they can stand their own as well.

THANK YOU

For every single customer who has bought a Sprouted Planner, I’m so grateful. Thank you very much for taking a chance on this little company. Buying your yearly planner is a big decision, and I don’t take your choice lightly. I appreciate you more than I can say.
